Motor Claims Handler

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Motor Claims Handler to join a market‑leading insurance organisation in Bolton. Working within a busy, supportive team, you will provide administrative and technical assistance to Claims Handlers, Investigators and Managers, ensuring motor claims progress smoothly from notification to settlement.

Key responsibilities

• Provide administrative and technical support to Claims Handlers, Investigators and Managers.
• Act as the first point of contact for client and customer enquiries via telephone and email.
• Take ownership of customer queries and see them through to resolution.
• Support proactive management of motor claims from notification through to settlement.
• Maintain accurate claim records using internal systems.
• Liaise with clients and internal departments to ensure efficient claim progression.
• Deliver high‑standard customer service at every stage of the claims process.
• Promote Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) principles and ensure compliance.

Required profile

• Previous experience in motor claims or insurance claims administration.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organisational abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
