Motor Vehicle Lecturer – FE Teaching Role

About the role

Reed Further Education is seeking a Motor Vehicle Lecturer to deliver practical automotive training across multiple FE locations in the North East. This role is ideal for industry specialists or experienced educators passionate about inspiring young people in the motor vehicle sector.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, hands‑on motor vehicle training sessions.
• Support learners in developing practical automotive skills and industry knowledge.
• Build positive relationships to inspire and motivate students.
• Collaborate with a learner‑focused team and adapt to timetable changes.
• Provide support in other curriculum areas when required.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in the motor vehicle industry.
• Teaching qualification (AET, PTLLS, PGCE, Certificate in Education) or working towards one.
• Assessors’ qualification (A1, D33/D34, CAVA, TAQA, IQA) or working towards one.
• Level 3 (or equivalent) in Motor Vehicle.
• Level 2 (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
• Current Enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one.
