About the role
We are looking for a Motor Vehicle Lecturer to join our Motor Vehicle Department on a full‑time basis. You will be responsible for delivering both theory and practical lessons across Level 1 to Level 3 programmes, helping learners achieve positive outcomes and develop employability skills.
Key responsibilities
- Design and guide learners through personalised learning programmes, including action planning and progress reviews.
- Deliver and assess teaching on‑site and off‑site, taking full responsibility for learner success.
- Act as Course Owner, contributing to curriculum development and staff training.
- Create learning and assessment materials using e‑systems such as Google Classroom.
- Embed employability and employer‑engagement activities within all programmes.
- Lead or participate in course teams and supervise admin, technical, and assistant staff.
- Support marketing, student recruitment and event activities outside normal college hours.
Required profile
- Degree or equivalent vocational qualification.
- Relevant vocational qualification to Level 3.
- DTLLS or equivalent teaching qualification.
- GCSE A*‑C (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
- Willingness to obtain an internal verifier qualification.
- Minimum three years of relevant industry experience.
- Strong presentation skills and proficiency with vocational applications.
