About the role
Bradford College’s Construction & Engineering Department is seeking a Motor Vehicle Lecturer to deliver engaging learning experiences for students pursuing motor vehicle and electrical specialisms. The role supports both young adults and experienced trade professionals, helping them develop safe working practices and technical competence.
Key responsibilities
- Teach motor vehicle courses on‑site and off‑site, designing and delivering engaging curriculum.
- Manage student academic progress, wellbeing, behaviour, and provide pastoral and career guidance.
- Develop and maintain links with employer and industry partners, arranging placements and off‑site visits.
- Contribute to programme development, resource management and innovation to ensure financially efficient delivery.
- Participate in student enrolment, monitoring, profiling and assessment processes.
Required profile
- Relevant industry experience in motor vehicle electrical specialism.
- Minimum Level 3 qualification in Electrical installations (or equivalent).
- Level 2 qualification in Maths and English, or willingness to achieve within a set timescale.
- Willingness to obtain a recognised teaching qualification (e.g., QTLS) within two years if not already held.
Required skills
- Electrical installations knowledge.
- Ability to teach technical and vocational skills safely.
