Multi Site Dealership Accountant

About the role

We are seeking an experienced accountant to act as a finance business partner across multiple automotive dealership sites. The role focuses on delivering insightful financial reporting, influencing senior management and driving profitability rather than routine bookkeeping.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare accurate monthly management accounts and accompanying commentary.
• Partner with dealer principals and senior managers to review performance and identify profitability improvements.
• Analyse financial results, KPIs and operational trends, providing insight and recommendations.
• Lead budgeting and forecasting processes for multiple sites.
• Challenge costs, margins and departmental performance to maximise commercial outcomes.
• Present financial information clearly to non‑finance stakeholders.
• Support strategic decisions through robust financial analysis and modelling.
• Maintain strong financial governance and balance‑sheet integrity.
• Drive continuous improvement in reporting and business processes.
• Collaborate with the wider finance team to ensure consistent group reporting.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Dealership Accountant, Senior Dealership Accountant or Management Accountant within a franchised motor‑trade group.
• Track record of producing management accounts and delivering insightful analysis.
• Strong commercial awareness with confidence to challenge and influence operational stakeholders.
• Experience partnering with senior management to improve business performance.
• Excellent analytical ability to translate financial data into actionable recommendations.
• Effective communication and presentation skills for non‑finance audiences.
