Multi Skilled Electrician – Temporary (3 months)

About the role

We are looking for two experienced Multi Skilled Electricians to join our internal maintenance service team on a temporary three‑month contract, with the possibility of becoming permanent. The role involves working in customer homes and communal areas across Salford and Greater Manchester.

Key responsibilities

• Work Monday‑Thursday 8:00 am–4:15 pm and Friday 8:00 am–3:30 pm.
• Repair and replace electrical fittings and diagnose and rectify electrical faults.
• Rewire properties, performing both first‑fix and second‑fix installations.
• Ensure compliance with the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations and produce required certifications such as EICR, Minor Works and Installation certificates.
• Participate in an out‑of‑hours call‑out rota, compensated in addition to the basic salary.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering.
• Certification in the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).
• Minimum three years’ experience in a similar electrical role.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Full clean UK driving licence.
• Ability to work independently and manage tasks via a PDA/tablet.
• Right to work in the UK and references covering the last three years.
