Multi-Skilled Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Multi‑Skilled Engineer to join a well‑established facilities maintenance team in Kingston Upon Thames. The role involves supporting a large, diverse property portfolio by delivering high‑quality maintenance services across multiple sites.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs on HVAC, mechanical, plumbing and water systems.
• Diagnose faults, carry out repairs and ensure systems remain safe, compliant and operational.
• Record all work using CAFM and BMS platforms.
• Support external contractors, project work and multi‑skilled maintenance activities.
• Maintain compliance with health & safety and statutory regulations.
• Participate in an on‑call rota and contribute to continuous service improvement.

Required profile

• Proven experience in property‑related trades such as plumbing, electrical, joinery or carpentry.
• Qualification or strong experience in a core trade (HVAC, heating & ventilation, mechanical, plumbing, etc.).
• Background in building services, facilities management or large‑site maintenance environments.
• Strong fault‑finding and problem‑solving abilities.
• Good understanding of health & safety and compliance requirements.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
