Multi Skilled Engineer

About the role

This position is for a Multi Skilled Engineer within a leading privately‑owned food manufacturing business. You will be responsible for day‑to‑day engineering and maintenance activities across a fast‑moving packaging environment, ensuring high standards and maximum machine efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine and reactive maintenance on flow wrappers, labeling machines, packaging lines and conveyor systems.
• Execute work within a structured Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) system.
• Identify and implement improvements to increase equipment reliability and productivity.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and compliance with health and safety standards.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to support continuous training and skill development.

Required profile

• Background in maintenance engineering within an FMCG or food manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Experience as a multi‑skilled, time‑served engineer.
• Apprentice‑trained engineering qualification is desirable.
