Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a fast‑paced food manufacturing site in Poole. The role involves maintaining high‑volume production and packaging equipment, ensuring reliability and safety in a modern FMCG environment.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on a variety of production and packaging machinery.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults to minimise downtime.
• Support continuous improvement and reliability projects.
• Collaborate closely with production teams to maintain equipment efficiency and safety.
• Ensure all work complies with health & safety and site standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer in food or high‑speed manufacturing.
• Strong multi‑skilled background with either an electrical or mechanical bias and solid knowledge of the other discipline.
• Experience with conveyors, motors, sensors, pneumatics, hydraulics and PLC fault‑finding.
• Relevant engineering qualifications such as NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or an apprenticeship.
• Proactive, team‑focused attitude.
