Multi-skilled Maintenance Operative

About the role

City Rooms are seeking an experienced Multi‑skilled Maintenance Operative to join their in‑house team. You will be responsible for reactive repairs and small improvement projects across a portfolio of HMO properties throughout London.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out day‑to‑day reactive repairs including basic carpentry, minor plumbing, minor electrical, painting, decorating and cosmetic refurbishments.
• Deliver small projects such as stud‑partition construction, refurbishments, tiling, flooring repairs and garden maintenance.
• Plan daily jobs from tickets, ensure materials are ready, and record work with photos and reports via the Fixflo app.
• Purchase approved materials, manage waste, and ensure compliance with health & safety regulations.
• Maintain clean and tidy tenant spaces and work safely with required PPE.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a multi‑skilled tradesperson in residential property (HMO) or similar sector.
• Strong ability in at least two core trades (e.g., carpentry, painting, basic plumbing or electrics).
• Full UK manual driving licence (Category B) and eligibility for company fleet insurance.
• Good communication skills and competence with mobile apps and basic computer use.

What we offer

• Permanent, full‑time contract (Monday‑Friday 09:00‑17:00).
• Salary £33,000‑£38,000 per year, dependent on experience.
