Multi-skilled Maintenance Technician

About the role

Caterpillar’s Industrial Power Systems Division is seeking a Multi‑skilled Maintenance Technician to join its Shrewsbury facility. You will work on a diverse range of equipment, applying modern maintenance techniques to maximise uptime and support sustainable production.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair electrical, control, pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical systems.
• Execute planned preventative maintenance (PPM) according to schedule.
• Respond quickly to breakdowns and coordinate with production and engineering teams.
• Use mobile devices to manage work orders and document activities.
• Support calibration activities and contribute to equipment availability.
• Conduct risk assessments and ensure safe working practices.
• Investigate machine‑related quality issues in a structured manner.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in industrial maintenance covering multiple disciplines.
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification.
• Ability to work effectively with production and engineering stakeholders.
• Commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
