Multi Skilled Operative

About the role

Join Tarmac Trading Limited at Harden Quarry in Biddlestone, near Rothbury, to become a Multi Skilled Operative. You will work outdoors operating heavy plant, supporting the safe and efficient production of high‑quality aggregates for construction and infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Operate mobile plant equipment such as loading shovels, excavators and mobile crushers.
• Support safe and efficient aggregate production and meet daily targets.
• Carry out routine plant inspections, day‑to‑day maintenance and weighbridge duties.
• Train on and operate static plant equipment to optimise performance.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure customer orders are delivered on time and to specification.
• Maintain excellent housekeeping standards and promote a safety‑first culture.

Required profile

• Practical, safety‑conscious and team‑oriented.
• Motivated and reliable with a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
