Multi-Skilled Operator – Base Supply (12‑hr Shifts)

About the role

Join Yeo Valley’s Base Supply Team at the Cannington facility and play a vital part in preparing the milk base for our yoghurt, dessert and ice‑cream range. You will operate mixing equipment on a 4‑on‑4‑off 12‑hour shift pattern, ensuring consistent quality and timely supply to downstream production.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain milk mixing systems and associated equipment.
• Follow mixing recipes and production schedules accurately.
• Conduct routine quality checks and keep detailed batch records.
• Collaborate with production and QA teams to ensure compliance.
• Maintain a clean, safe working environment.
• Assist with inventory management, stock rotation and general plant support.

Required profile

• Strong team‑working attitude.
• Ability to perform manual tasks safely.
• Attention to detail and effective communication.
• Relevant experience as a machine operator in a production environment.

Required skills

• Basic food hygiene knowledge.
• Understanding of HACCP principles.
• Engineering skillset for equipment maintenance.
