Multi Skills Lecturer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced construction professional to join a South West England college as a Multi Skills Lecturer. The role involves delivering both practical and theoretical training to learners across a range of construction trades, helping them progress to apprenticeships or employment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver lessons for Entry Level to Level 2/3 construction programmes.
• Teach core trade skills such as carpentry, bricklaying, plastering, painting & decorating and basic plumbing.
• Prepare learners for further study, apprenticeships or direct entry into the construction sector.
• Create safe, industry‑standard workshop environments.
• Monitor progress, provide feedback and support achievement.
• Uphold safeguarding, health & safety and professional standards.

Required profile

• Significant industry experience across multiple construction trades.
• Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in a relevant construction discipline.
• Ability to transition from industry to teaching or existing teaching experience.
