Multi Trade Operative – Property Maintenance

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Multi Trade Operative to join our leading property maintenance team. You will work across a varied housing portfolio, delivering repairs, maintenance, void refurbishments and inspections while ensuring high standards of safety and customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out responsive repairs, planned maintenance, void works and property inspections.
• Diagnose faults and complete repairs across multiple trades.
• Manage materials, maintain stock levels and update job information using handheld technology.
• Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain professional standards.
• Work independently while supporting apprentices and colleagues as needed.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds qualification or equivalent experience in a recognised trade.
• Strong experience in property maintenance, repairs or construction.
• Multi‑skilled trade background with ability to perform a variety of tasks.
• Good understanding of health and safety legislation.
• Full UK driving licence.
• For electrical candidates: 18th Edition Wiring Regulations and City & Guilds 2391 Testing & Inspection qualifications.
