Multi Trade Operative – Sussex

About the role

The Multi Trade Operative delivers a range of property maintenance services across residential sites in Sussex. You will carry out repairs, planned works, void refurbishments and inspections, ensuring safety, quality and timely completion.

Key responsibilities

• Perform repairs, maintenance, inspections and refurbishment works on residential properties.
• Maintain van stock levels, record material usage and order specialist supplies as needed.
• Complete job records and reports in real time using company systems.
• Identify jobs that require follow‑on work or additional resources.
• Use company vehicles, tools and equipment safely and keep them well maintained.
• Conduct risk assessments and report hazards or incidents.
• Provide excellent customer service and aim to finish repairs on the first visit.
• Supervise apprentices or trainees when required.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds qualification or equivalent experience in a relevant trade.
• Significant experience in property maintenance, construction or building services.
• Full UK driving licence; CSCS card is desirable.
• Good knowledge of Health & Safety regulations.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Required skills

• Electrical testing and inspection (where applicable).
• Property maintenance and refurbishment.
