Multimodal Freight Operator

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Multimodal Freight Operator to join our expanding logistics team in Oldham. You will coordinate Ocean, Air and European Road freight shipments, overseeing each shipment from booking to final delivery while providing exceptional customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Manage Ocean, Air and European Road freight shipments.
• Arrange collections and deliveries and monitor shipment progress.
• Prepare and verify customs and shipping documentation.
• Handle freight inbox enquiries and resolve operational issues, delays and exceptions.
• Liaise with customers, carriers and overseas agents.
• Update internal systems accurately and support invoicing.
• Collaborate closely with Operations and Sales teams.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years experience in freight forwarding, logistics or shipping.
• Knowledge of Ocean, Air and/or Road freight operations.
• Strong organisational and time‑management abilities.
• Excellent communication and customer‑service skills.
• Ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
• Customs knowledge is advantageous.
• High attention to detail and a positive, team‑focused attitude.
