Multi‑Site Dealership Accountant – Finance Business Partner

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Motor Trade Dealership Accountant to join a forward‑thinking automotive retail group. The role acts as a finance business partner to senior operational leaders across multiple dealership sites, providing insight and driving profitability. The position offers hybrid working, autonomy and clear career progression.

Key responsibilities

• Produce accurate monthly management accounts and financial commentary.
• Partner with dealer principals and senior management to review performance and identify profitability opportunities.
• Analyse financial results, KPIs and operational trends, delivering insight and recommendations.
• Lead budgeting and forecasting across multiple sites.
• Challenge costs, margins and departmental performance to maximise commercial results.
• Present financial information clearly to non‑finance stakeholders.
• Support strategic decisions through robust financial analysis and modelling.
• Ensure strong financial governance and balance‑sheet integrity.
• Drive continuous improvement in reporting and business processes.
• Collaborate with the wider finance team to deliver consistent group reporting.

Required profile

• Proven experience within the franchised motor trade as a Dealership Accountant, Senior Dealership Accountant or Management Accountant.
• Strong track record of producing management accounts and insightful financial analysis.
• Excellent commercial awareness with confidence to challenge and influence operational stakeholders.
• Experience partnering with senior management to improve business performance.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret financial data.
