Multi‑Site Dealership Accountant

About the role

This position offers an experienced Motor Trade Dealership Accountant the chance to become a trusted finance business partner across several dealership locations. You will move beyond routine bookkeeping to provide strategic financial insight that drives profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Produce accurate monthly management accounts with clear commentary.
• Partner with Dealer Principals and senior managers to review performance and identify profit‑enhancing opportunities.
• Analyse financial results, KPIs and operational trends, delivering actionable recommendations.
• Lead budgeting and forecasting for multiple sites.
• Challenge costs, margins and departmental performance to maximise commercial outcomes.
• Present financial information in an accessible format for non‑finance stakeholders.
• Support strategic decisions through robust financial modelling and analysis.
• Maintain strong financial governance and balance‑sheet integrity.
• Drive continuous improvement in reporting and business processes.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Dealership Accountant, Senior Dealership Accountant or Management Accountant within a franchised motor‑trade group.
• Demonstrated ability to produce management accounts and deliver insightful analysis.
• Strong commercial awareness with confidence to challenge and influence senior operational leaders.
• Experience partnering with senior management to improve business performance.
