Multi‑Skilled Engineer – Manufacturing (Powys, Wales)

About the role

We are seeking a Multi‑Skilled Engineer to join our fast‑paced manufacturing site in Powys, Wales. The successful candidate will be responsible for keeping production machinery running smoothly, reducing downtime, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on production machinery and site equipment.
• Respond quickly to breakdowns and perform reactive maintenance.
• Diagnose faults on both mechanical and electrical systems.
• Support engineering upgrades and continuous‑improvement projects.
• Ensure all work complies with health & safety and food safety standards.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
• Collaborate with production teams to minimise downtime.
• Assist with installations, repairs, and equipment servicing as required.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Multi‑Skilled Engineer in manufacturing, FMCG, food production or a similar fast‑paced environment.
• Strong fault‑finding and problem‑solving abilities.
• Mechanical and electrical engineering knowledge.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to work continental shifts (4 days on / 4 days off, rotating days and nights).
• Engineering qualification preferred (NVQ, City & Guilds, HNC/HND or equivalent).
