Multi‑Skilled Engineer – Mechanical & Electrical Maintenance

About the role

We need to keep the brewery in Enfield in tip‑top condition to keep making the most delicious beer. We are looking for mechanical and electrical maintenance engineers who are passionate about their responsibilities and thrive in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Comply with health, safety, hygiene and 5S standards at all times.
• Review and share Standard Operating Procedures and safety/maintenance work instructions.
• Attend daily meetings and support a high‑performance, flexible culture.
• Ensure statutory, legal, packaging, quality and food‑hygiene regulations (e.g., HACCP) are met.
• Complete planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive tasks diligently.
• Record all work in the CMMS system and produce required reports.
• Drive improvement activities to achieve departmental KPIs.
• Undertake training and personal development as defined in the Personal Development Plan.

Required profile

• Qualified Mechanical or Electrical Engineer (ONC, C&G, BTEC/NVQ Level 3, degree or equivalent).
• Proven fault‑finding and maintenance experience on high‑speed production equipment.
• Positive “can‑do” attitude and pride in workmanship.
• Strong numeracy, literacy and verbal communication skills.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and high‑performance environments.

Required skills

• Mechanical engineering principles and practices.
• Electrical engineering principles and practices.
• Fault finding on PLC‑controlled and pneumatic systems.
• Experience with SAP CMMS or similar maintenance software.
• Knowledge of steam systems and related safety courses.
• Understanding of safe handling of ammonia, carbon dioxide and CIP processes.
• TIG welding and limited fabrication.
• Awareness of PUWER, ATEX/DSEAR safety regulations.
