Multi‑Skilled Fire & Security Engineer – Woking

About the role

Join a supportive engineering business as a Multi‑Skilled Fire & Security Engineer based in Woking and the surrounding Surrey area. You will manage your own regional workload while receiving the equipment, training and technical backing needed to keep life‑safety and electronic security systems running reliably.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance visits across commercial, public‑sector and operational sites.
• Respond to system faults, diagnose causes and perform effective repairs.
• Service and maintain CCTV, intruder alarm, access control and door entry systems.
• Test, maintain and repair conventional and addressable fire alarm systems.
• Perform small installations, upgrades, extensions and equipment replacements.
• Inspect panels, field devices, cabling, power supplies and networked equipment.
• Produce accurate electronic job reports and service documentation.
• Participate in an out‑of‑hours call‑out rota (approximately one week in twelve).

Required profile

• Previous field‑based experience in the fire and security industry.
• Broad knowledge of electronic security systems.
• Ability to work independently with access to technical support when required.
