Multiskilled Fitter

About the role

We are seeking an experienced multiskilled fitter/assembler to join a leading manufacturing company that provides electrical solutions across various industries. The role involves fitting distribution and power units while maintaining high standards of workmanship and product quality.

Key responsibilities

• Fit a range of distribution and power units following assembly instructions, blueprints and parts lists.
• Gather required parts, sub‑assemblies, tools and materials before commencing work.
• Assemble components, ensuring correct fit, fastening parts and sub‑assemblies.
• Maintain OTIF delivery standards and complete all associated paperwork.
• Perform area housekeeping, report shortages or equipment breakdowns promptly.
• Use general workshop machinery and hand tools relevant to the fitting role.
• Inspect the quality of colleagues' output and conduct quality checks.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience in a mechanical/electrical environment.
• Ability to understand and interpret schematics and technical drawings.
• Apprentice‑trained or equivalent time served is preferred.
• Good communication skills and health & safety awareness.
• Strong attention to detail.
