Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer (4on4off)

About the role

We are looking for a Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a well‑established manufacturing business in Nottingham. The role operates on a 4‑on‑4‑off shift pattern covering both days and nights, offering a competitive salary and opportunities for career development.

Key responsibilities

• Identify failure modes of plant and electrical equipment and return them to safe operation within reasonable timescales.
• Diagnose and repair equipment breakdowns.
• Liaise with day‑shift engineering teams to resolve long‑term engineering issues.
• Locate, collect and return spare parts using the maintenance management system.
• Obtain maintenance schedules, record work carried out and feed back information via notifications.
• Carry out preventive maintenance routines and ensure Planned Preventative Maintenance is completed on schedule.

Required profile

• Significant experience as a Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
• Self‑motivated with the ability to work under pressure and motivate others.
• Accurate and timely reporting skills.
• Completed an apprenticeship as a Maintenance Engineer.
• Working knowledge of good engineering practices.
• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
