Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer – FMCG/Electrical

About the role

We are seeking a Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a leading food manufacturing site in Middlesbrough. The role involves maintaining a range of modern production equipment in a fast‑paced environment, with opportunities for on‑the‑job training and engineering qualifications.

Key responsibilities

• Repair, maintain and diagnose faults on production machinery such as flow wrappers, ultrasonic cutters and conveyor systems.
• Carry out both planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown repairs.
• Identify and implement equipment improvements to reduce downtime and boost production efficiency.
• Work within set shift patterns (10‑hour Friday‑to‑Monday or 8.5‑hour Sunday‑to‑Thursday).

Required profile

• Experience as a Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer or similar in a production environment.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, FMCG manufacturing setting.
• Residence within a commutable distance to Middlesbrough.

Required skills

• Mechanical maintenance of industrial equipment.
• Electrical maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Preventative and reactive maintenance techniques.
• Knowledge of flow wrappers, ultrasonic cutters and conveyor systems.
