Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer

About the role

Reed Engineering is supporting a well‑established manufacturing organisation in North Essex. The Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer will join an experienced maintenance team to keep production equipment and site facilities running safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver planned preventive maintenance (PPM) across a variety of manufacturing equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve equipment faults, breakdowns and health‑and‑safety issues promptly.
• Carry out general building and facility repairs as required.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to site efficiency.
• Undertake reasonable additional duties to ensure smooth site operation.

Required profile

• Recognised apprenticeship in electrical, mechanical or electro‑mechanical engineering (City & Guilds Level 3, NVQ, BTEC or ONC).
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a multi‑skilled industrial maintenance environment.
• BS 7671 IEE 18th Edition qualification.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work under pressure.
