Multi‑Skilled Operative – Plastering & Repairs

About the role

We are seeking a reliable Multi‑Skilled Operative to join our responsive repairs team covering Hastings to Brighton. The role is hands‑on, working inside occupied social housing properties where plastering is the core trade, supported by a range of other maintenance tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out day‑to‑day responsive repairs across social housing homes.
• Perform damp and mould remediation duties.
• Complete patch plastering, skimming and make‑good works to walls and ceilings.
• Repair plaster damage caused by leaks or previous maintenance.
• Undertake basic domestic plumbing repairs, including leaks, taps, toilets and pipework.
• Execute minor tiling, sealing and finishing tasks linked to repairs.
• Carry out basic locksmith duties such as lock changes.
• Record all work accurately using handheld devices and report any additional issues.
• Participate in out‑of‑hours emergency call‑out rota when required.

Required profile

• Proven experience in plastering and general repairs within social housing.
• Ability to work independently and maintain high standards of workmanship.
• Strong customer‑service focus when working in residents’ homes.
• Willingness to travel between sites and maintain company vehicle and tools.

What we offer

• Annual salary up to £36,425.30.
• Company van and fuel card.
• 42.5‑hour work week (Monday‑Friday, 8‑5).
• Permanent full‑time contract.
