Multi‑Skilled Operative – Property Repairs & Refurbishment

About the role

We are seeking Multi‑Skilled Operatives to join our Voids team, delivering high‑quality repairs, maintenance and property improvements across homes in South East England. The role is hands‑on and varied, with each day bringing different challenges across a range of trades.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out repairs, maintenance and refurbishment works in void properties to bring homes up to standard.
• Perform multi‑trade tasks including carpentry, plumbing, painting and decorating, and general repairs.
• Undertake larger refurbishment projects, working independently or within small teams.
• Assess properties, determine effective repair solutions and ensure work is completed right the first time.
• Use mobile technology to manage job schedules and adhere to health and safety regulations.

Required profile

• Recognised qualification in a core trade (Carpentry NVQ/City & Guilds Level 2 or Plumbing NVQ Level 2/City & Guilds Level 3) or equivalent experience.
• Practical experience in both carpentry and plumbing.
• Proven multi‑trade experience with a track record of high‑standard repairs and refurbishments.
• Ability to assess properties and make informed decisions on repair methods.
• Adaptable, flexible and able to support wider teams as needed.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to work independently.
