Multi‑Trade Operative

About the role

We are looking for a Multi‑Trade Operative to work across domestic properties in Torquay, Paignton and Brixham. The role is full‑time (40 hours per week) and includes the provision of a company van and power tools to deliver high‑standard maintenance and repair work.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out construction, fault fixing and routine maintenance duties in line with contract specifications.
• Maintain and restock tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good condition.
• Respond promptly to complaints and breakdowns, keeping customers informed of progress.
• Provide clear, timely updates on work status to customers.
• Ensure all activities comply with Building Safety legislation and health‑and‑safety regulations.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in a core trade (e.g., carpentry or electrical). If plumbing is required, a Level 3 qualification, Unvented‑G3 Certificate and WRAS compliance are mandatory.
• Original certification must be presented at interview; copies or CSCS cards are not accepted.
• Strong awareness of health and safety regulations and working legislation.
• Ability to prioritise workloads, meet deadlines and plan ahead.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
