Music Teacher – Garstang (Sept 2026)

About the role

Veritas Education is partnering with a welcoming secondary school in Garstang to recruit an enthusiastic Music Teacher for the September 2026 start. This full‑time, temporary position offers the chance to inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4, developing their performance, composition and appreciation of music.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging music lessons for KS3 and KS4.
• Plan, prepare and assess lessons that foster creativity and musical skills.
• Encourage student participation in practical and performance‑based activities.
• Support learners of all abilities to achieve their potential.
• Contribute positively to the wider department and school community.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching music in a secondary school setting.
• Strong classroom management abilities.
• Passion for music education and student achievement.
• Both early‑career teachers and experienced practitioners are encouraged to apply.

Required skills

• Ability to design and deliver curriculum‑aligned music lessons.
• Proficiency in assessing student progress in music.
• Effective communication with students, staff and parents.
