Music Teacher

About the role
We are seeking a passionate Music Teacher to deliver engaging lessons that develop students' performance, composition and listening skills. The role involves classroom teaching as well as leading extracurricular music activities within a supportive school environment.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high‑quality music lessons aligned with the national curriculum.
- Teach performance, composition, music theory and digital music production.
- Develop students' confidence in singing, instrumental work and use of music technology.
- Assess, track and report on student progress.
- Support GCSE and A‑Level music programmes where applicable.
- Lead or contribute to school ensembles, choirs and performances.
- Organise concerts, events and other extracurricular music activities.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Degree in Music or related subject (desired but not essential).
- Strong practical musicianship and subject knowledge.
- Commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing.
- Willingness to contribute to wider school life and performances.
