National Account Manager

About the role

The National Account Manager will be responsible for driving revenue and profit growth across key retail and channel customers. You will develop strategic account plans, launch new products and manage promotional activities to meet annual turnover targets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute detailed customer plans to achieve full‑year sales budgets.
• Maintain and grow existing listings while generating new business opportunities.
• Manage product launches, promotional activities and price negotiations.
• Provide accurate sales forecasts, maintain price files and oversee contract administration.
• Build strong relationships with internal teams (marketing, logistics, buying) and external customers.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities proactively.

Required profile

• Proven first‑line account management experience, preferably in the grocery/food industry.
• Commercial experience with retail, convenience, foodservice or industrial customers is advantageous.
• Graduate calibre with strong numeracy and analytical abilities.
• Excellent organisational, time‑management and presentation skills.
• Self‑motivated, proactive and achievement‑oriented.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Familiarity with SAP (preferred).
