National Business Development Manager

About the role

We are seeking a National Business Development Manager to lead the growth of our client base across the built environment sector. Based in Feering, you will own the national growth strategy, develop long‑term client relationships and drive revenue through a consultative sales approach.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and pursue strategic client opportunities within the construction and compliance market.
• Build and maintain a high‑quality pipeline using networking, referrals, market research and targeted outreach.
• Develop and execute engagement plans for prospective and priority accounts.
• Present solutions, support proposals and deliver presentations to senior decision‑makers.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth handover of new business.
• Travel nationwide to meet clients, attend industry events and represent the company at exhibitions.
• Maintain accurate records of meetings, forecasts and opportunity updates.

Required profile

• Proven experience in business development or sales at a national level, preferably within the built environment or compliance sector.
• Strong consultative selling skills and ability to build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation abilities.
• Willingness to travel extensively across the UK.

What we offer

• Competitive base salary of £50,000‑£55,000 per year.
• On‑target earnings (OTE) of £80,000‑£90,000.
• Full‑time permanent contract with regular travel opportunities.
