Nature Executive (Sustainability)

About the role

The successful candidate will join M&G's Central Sustainability Office to shape and deliver a Group‑wide nature strategy. This role bridges the Life and Asset Management businesses, integrating nature considerations into climate frameworks and risk management while supporting policy engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver the Group‑wide nature strategy in collaboration with stakeholders across M&G Plc, the Life business and the Asset Management business.
• Support the Climate & Nature Lead to embed nature‑related themes into existing climate frameworks.
• Assist the Sustainability Risk Lead in building the approach to managing nature risk and integrating it into the Risk Management Framework.
• Work with 2nd line Sustainability Risk to oversee nature‑related risk management and improve the risk and control environment.
• Act as the subject‑matter expert on nature within the Central Sustainability Office, conducting horizon scanning and monitoring regulatory developments.
• Provide input to policy‑maker and regulator engagement on nature‑related topics where required.

Required profile

• Proven experience working on nature‑related projects within a financial services firm, corporate environment or consultancy.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and management skills, with the ability to influence across multiple business units.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver complex projects and strategic initiatives.
