NDT Level 2/3 Instructor & Examiner

About the role

Testia Ltd is seeking an experienced NDT Level 2 or 3 Instructor/Examiner to deliver high‑quality training at its BINDT‑approved school in Filton, Bristol. You will also perform non‑destructive testing inspections on site and at customer locations, supporting both education and operational needs.

Key responsibilities

• Design, prepare and deliver NDT courses for internal and external candidates.
• Invigilate, examine and mark examinations, ensuring compliance with BINDT standards.
• Support training administration, including scoping, pricing, contract review, exam writing and paperwork processing.
• Manage training equipment and consumables, coordinating with procurement for stock replenishment.
• Maintain Level 2 (EN4179) certification and upgrade to Level 3 (EN41792) as required.
• Ensure ongoing compliance with BINDT requirements and assist with internal and external audits.
• Develop coursework and examination materials to diversify training offerings.
• Engage with students, training partners and potential customers, supporting sales and marketing activities.
• Travel nationally and internationally for short periods as business needs dictate.

Required profile

• EN4179 Level 2 qualification in at least one NDT method (Level 3 desirable).
• Visual acuity performance certificate or ability to obtain one.
• Evidence of instructional technique training or teaching certification.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a flexible, agile environment.

Required skills

• Ultrasonic Testing (UT) and Phased Array (PAUT).
• Eddy Current Testing (ECT).
• Penetrant Testing (PT).
• Magnetic Particle Testing (MPT).
• Digital Radiographic Testing (DRT).
• Knowledge of EN4179 and EN41792 standards.
• Proficiency with Google and Microsoft Office tools.
