Neighbourhoods & Communities Manager

About the role

Vox Consultants is seeking an experienced Neighbourhoods & Communities Manager to support a London local authority on a three‑month temporary assignment. The role will lead a newly formed team responsible for delivering tenancy and neighbourhood services to roughly 2,000 residents across 12,000 tenanted homes.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership to the Neighbourhoods & Communities team, including Officers and a Coordinator.
• Oversee delivery of tenancy and neighbourhood management services, ensuring responsiveness and resident focus.
• Manage anti‑social behaviour, fire safety and estate management in line with policies and regulatory requirements.
• Drive service improvement, modernisation and innovation to meet Housing Regulator standards.
• Monitor team performance, take corrective action and develop staff.
• Engage with residents and external stakeholders to enhance satisfaction and community wellbeing.
• Lead change initiatives and support the council’s ambition for a C1 rating.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in neighbourhood or tenancy management within a local authority or social housing setting.
• Proven track record of managing and leading housing teams.
• Strong knowledge of tenancy management, anti‑social behaviour, fire safety and estate management.
• Understanding of housing regulation and regulatory standards.
• Ability to drive service improvement and innovation.

Required skills

What we offer

• Daily rate of £300, negotiable based on experience.
• Full‑time, office‑based role (Monday‑Friday, 9 am‑5 pm).
