Network Engineer – Enterprise LAN/WAN & Security

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to lead the design, implementation and security of our enterprise infrastructure across multiple sites in South West London. You will own key networking projects, modernise our LAN/WAN environment and ensure resilient, secure connectivity for critical business services.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deploy enterprise LAN, WAN, Wi‑Fi, VPN and SD‑WAN solutions.
• Own firewall architecture, network segmentation and secure connectivity.
• Lead network upgrades and migrations across sites with minimal disruption.
• Integrate infrastructure components and manage migration projects.
• Strengthen cyber‑security through vulnerability management and penetration‑testing remediation.
• Provide 2nd/3rd line technical support for complex infrastructure issues.
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders, technical teams and third‑party vendors.
• Ensure solutions are scalable, resilient and aligned with enterprise standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of experience in network or infrastructure engineering.
• Strong enterprise networking background (LAN, WAN, VLANs, VPN, Wi‑Fi).
• Hands‑on experience with firewalls and network security technologies.
• Solid understanding of cyber‑security, vulnerability management and penetration‑testing principles.
• Proven ability to deliver networking or infrastructure projects.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Exposure to Azure infrastructure or cloud networking is desirable.
• Relevant certifications (CCNA, CCNP, Network+, Azure) are a plus.
• Experience in healthcare or NHS environments, including HSCN connectivity, is advantageous.
