Network Engineer – Hybrid (London)

About the role

We are seeking a senior Network Engineer to join our London team on a hybrid basis. This 12‑month contract role requires 1‑2 days onsite per week and focuses on network automation, AI‑enhanced development, and the implementation of core routing protocols.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automation tools for network provisioning, deployment, and operations.
• Implement, test, and troubleshoot networking protocols such as SSH, BGP, MPLS, IS‑IS, DHCP, DNS, and TCP/IPv4/IPv6.
• Develop software on Linux‑based systems, integrating AI tools to accelerate coding.
• Create and manage device configurations for vendors like Arista, Juniper, Cisco, Nokia, etc.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to support ZTP, monitoring, remediation, and software push pipelines.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 7+ years of experience in software engineering, test automation, or infrastructure engineering.
• 5+ years of Linux development experience.
• 3+ years developing automation for network provisioning and operations.
• 3+ years working with network device configurations for at least one major vendor.
• Strong knowledge of TCP, IPv4/IPv6, and routing protocols (BGP, MPLS, IS‑IS) and related services.
