Network Engineer – London

About the role

Fisher Investments is seeking a Network Engineer to join its London team. You will work with a group of network specialists to design, implement and hand‑over robust infrastructure solutions for both IT and business customers.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineering to implement proposed networking solutions.
• Maintain and update documentation on the Confluence site for operations teams.
• Manage the infrastructure environment with a service‑oriented approach, ensuring delivery meets customer expectations.
• Assess existing infrastructure, develop improvement strategies, and drive optimisation.
• Own daily operations, automation and orchestration of IT services.
• Provide end‑to‑end ownership of network issue prevention, resolution and performance tuning.
• Lead process‑standardisation and simplification initiatives.
• Act as technical escalation point for production support during business hours and on‑call periods.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in network engineering.
• Experience analysing new products and recommending implementations.
• Hands‑on experience with data‑centre relocations.
• Azure Fundamentals (AZ900) and Azure networking (AZ700) knowledge.

Required skills

• Terraform for large‑scale infrastructure management.
• Cisco routing and switching technologies.
• WAN, campus, data‑centre and wireless networking at enterprise scale.
• Cisco SD‑WAN (Viptela) and Meraki.
• Firewalls and VPN devices.
• Load balancers.
• Broad understanding of compute, OS, hypervisor, storage, database and security components.
