Network Manager / IT Lead – Secondary School

About the role

This is a senior IT leadership position within a well‑established secondary school. You will own the full transformation of the school’s IT environment, shaping strategy, modernising infrastructure and building a high‑performing team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the school's IT network and infrastructure.
• Support the migration to Microsoft 365 and other cloud‑based services.
• Oversee day‑to‑day network operations, helpdesk support and issue resolution.
• Work with senior leadership on IT budgeting, strategy and future development.
• Collaborate with external partners while bringing more expertise in‑house.
• Recruit, mentor and develop an additional IT Technician.
• Enable staff and students to maximise technology for teaching and learning.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Network Manager, IT Manager, Infrastructure Engineer or similar senior role.
• Strong understanding of network architecture, Microsoft 365 and cloud migration.
• Ability to develop long‑term technology roadmaps and manage budgets.
• Experience in an education setting is advantageous but not mandatory.
