About the role
Our client is seeking an experienced Network Security Architect to join their team on a permanent basis, working on‑site five days a week in Didcot, Oxfordshire. The role focuses on network segmentation and improving security standards across a global organisation.
Key responsibilities
- Design and implement large‑scale network segmentation strategies.
- Lead technical projects and coordinate with vendors such as Fortigate, Cisco and Palo Alto.
- Develop and enforce security standards and processes.
- Identify, assess and remediate network‑related security risks and misconfigurations.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate security solutions across multiple countries.
Required profile
- 10+ years of hands‑on network engineering and architecture experience.
- At least 3 years specialising in large‑scale network segmentation.
- 5+ years implementing and managing NGFW, NDR, SASE, CASB, WAF, NAC and ZTNA solutions.
- Proven experience leading multi‑country projects and defining security standards.

- TCP, UDP, ICMP, ARP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, SNMP.
- SMB, RDP, HTTP, FTP, TLS/SSL, SSH, SAML, OAuth.
- Microsoft‑based enterprise IT infrastructure.
- Knowledge of NIST, ISO 27001, MITRE ATT&CK, Lockheed Martin Kill Chain frameworks.

- Salary £70,000‑£75,000 per year plus a 15 % performance bonus.
