Neurodevelopmental Nurse – CAMHS (Royal Oldham Hospital)

About the role

The Neurodevelopmental Nurse will join the multidisciplinary CAMHS team at Royal Oldham Hospital, delivering assessments and interventions for children, adolescents and families with neurodevelopmental disorders and related mental health difficulties.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct neurodevelopmental assessments and provide evidence‑based interventions.
• Ensure high‑quality CAMHS assessments for referred children and families.
• Monitor and review young people, including recording physical observations in the ADHD clinic.
• Plan, implement and evaluate therapeutic approaches, both independently and as part of the MDT.
• Carry out medication and physical health reviews for patients on medication.
• Manage cases and collaborate with multi‑agency partners.
• Travel to other sites within the Pennine Care footprint as required.

Required profile

• NMC mental health nursing qualification and registration.
• Significant post‑qualification experience in mental health services, at least to postgraduate diploma level.
• Demonstrated experience of case management for young people.
• Knowledge and experience of neurodevelopmental disorders.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and multi‑agency settings.
