Neurodevelopmental Practitioner – CAMHS

About the role

The CAMHS Neurodevelopmental Practitioner will join the Salford Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services team to support neurodivergent young people aged up to 18 years. Working from the Pendleton Gateway, you will assess autism and ADHD, provide case management and deliver interventions for complex emotional and behavioural needs.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments for autism and ADHD.
• Develop and implement personalised care plans for young people and families.
• Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to manage risk, safeguarding and self‑harm concerns.
• Provide ongoing case management and therapeutic interventions.
• Contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Registered Healthcare Professional (e.g., Occupational Therapist, Paediatric Nurse, Mental Health Nurse, Social Worker).
• Significant experience working with vulnerable young people with complex mental health needs.
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously at NHS Band 6 level.
• Knowledge of CAMHS pathways and neurodevelopmental conditions.

Required skills

• Proficiency with an Electronic Patient Record system (Hive).
