New Business Underwriter

About the role

We are partnering with a fast‑growing Managing General Agent that writes over £110 million Gross Written Premium. The London‑based team is seeking a commercially‑focused New Business Underwriter to drive fresh business and strengthen broker relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and convert new business opportunities in partnership with key broking partners.
• Leverage underwriting authority and the company’s value proposition to trade effectively.
• Build and maintain a robust pipeline by educating brokers on underwriting appetite and upcoming renewal business.
• Mentor junior team members, sharing knowledge and best practices.
• Deliver exceptional service to make the firm the broker’s first choice for new business placements.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years’ commercial underwriting experience in Property & Casualty.
• Proven track record of generating new business and a strong drive to succeed.
• Confident communicator with solid decision‑making abilities.
• Willingness to go the extra mile for clients and partners.
