Newly Qualified Accountant – Hybrid – £45k-£57k

About the role

This position is for a newly qualified accountant to join a respected accountancy practice in Guildford. You will work within the Accounts & Business Advisory Services team, helping to develop a new statutory accounts service for audit clients.

Key responsibilities

• Support the manager in delivering a new service for statutory accounts, including complex group accounts and consolidations.
• Prepare financial statements under FRS 102 for a varied client portfolio.
• Assist in designing and implementing procedures to improve efficiency and client service.
• Contribute to training junior colleagues and provide day‑to‑day guidance.
• Plan workflow and ensure client deadlines are consistently met.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA, CA or equivalent qualified accountant (or final‑stage student).
• Experience in an Accounts & Business Advisory or audit role within an accountancy practice.
• Strong technical knowledge of statutory accounts preparation and consolidations.
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Proactive, collaborative attitude with a desire to contribute to team growth.
