Newly Qualified Optometrist – Full/Part‑time

About the role
Specsavers in Welshpool is seeking a newly qualified, GOC‑registered Optometrist to join its busy retail practice. You will work in a supportive environment, delivering high‑quality eye care to a loyal customer base while developing your clinical expertise.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and prescribe corrective lenses.
- Utilise in‑store diagnostic equipment such as Heidelberg OCT and Humphrey Field Analyzer.
- Participate in minor eye condition services, cataract pre‑ and post‑care, and glaucoma monitoring.
- Provide professional advice and customer service to enhance patient satisfaction.
Required profile
- Qualified Optometrist registered with the General Optical Council.
- Enthusiastic, reliable and eager to develop a career in optometry.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including full‑time or part‑time patterns.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Heidelberg OCT equipment.
- Proficiency with Humphrey Field Analyzer.
What we offer
- Salary up to £55,000 per year, dependent on experience.
- Up to £10,000 Golden Hello bonus (terms apply).
- Full‑time or part‑time contracts, no Sunday working.
