Night Care Assistant (Full-time)

About the role

The Brendoncare Foundation is seeking compassionate individuals to join its night team at Brendoncare Knightwood, a 20‑bed residential home. As a Night Care Assistant you will provide person‑centred personal care and support to residents during night and weekend shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver personal care that respects each resident’s choices and dignity.
• Support residents who are unwell or approaching end of life.
• Act as a key‑worker for assigned residents, contributing to care plans.
• Document care provided, note changes, and report to the shift leader.
• Communicate with residents’ families, maintaining confidentiality.
• Collaborate with the Activities Team to organise group and one‑to‑one activities.
• Liaise with external agencies such as GPs, social services, and occupational therapists when required.

Required profile

• Genuine passion for person‑centred care and respect for residents’ dignity.
• Reliable, adaptable and able to work well within a team.
• Good communication skills and a caring attitude.
• NVQ/QCF Level 2 in Health & Social Care preferred, but not essential.
• Previous care experience is advantageous but training is provided.
