Night Care Assistant

About the Role

Join the dedicated team at The Grove Care Home, part of the prestigious Country Court group. As a Night Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being of our residents during the night hours, providing compassionate care in a supportive environment.

Main Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal hygiene and daily care needs with dignity and respect.
• Provide emotional and social support to enhance the overall well-being of residents.
• Support residents during meal times and monitor nutritional intake.
• Engage in meaningful daily interactions with residents and their families.
• Contribute to the development, implementation, and updating of personalized care plans.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure a safe environment throughout the night shift.

Candidate Profile

• Compassionate individual with a genuine desire to support elderly residents.
• Ability to work night shifts (19:00 to 07:00) on a rotational weekend basis.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective reporting.
• Resilience and the ability to work long hours while maintaining high standards of care.
• A good understanding of dementia care is highly desirable.
• NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care is preferred, or a willingness to work towards it.
