Night Care Assistant

About the role

As a Night Care Assistant at HC-One, you will provide compassionate, person‑centred care throughout the night shift, ensuring residents feel safe, respected and comfortable. You will support their physical, emotional and social needs while upholding the organisation’s core value of kindness.

Key responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal care tasks such as washing, dressing and hygiene.
• Support residents during meals and help with feeding when required.
• Monitor and respond to residents’ wellbeing, including emotional support and end‑of‑life care.
• Identify and report any signs of abuse, neglect or harm in line with safeguarding policies.
• Participate in night‑time activities and promote dignity and individuality for each resident.

Required profile

• Enthusiastic, caring and committed to delivering high‑quality care.
• Ability to work night shifts on a full‑time basis.
• Willingness to attend mandatory safeguarding and related training.
• Good communication skills and a respectful attitude towards residents and colleagues.

Required skills

• Basic personal care techniques (washing, dressing, hygiene assistance).
• Understanding of safeguarding principles in adult social care.
