About the role
We are seeking a Class 1 Night Trunk driver to operate a double‑deck trailer on night shifts, Monday to Friday, based in Newhaven, South East England.
Key responsibilities
- Secure the load and pull the curtains before departing the depot by 7:30 pm.
- Drive to and from the hub in Burton, averaging 4 hours 15 minutes at a governed speed of 56 mph.
- Unload and load goods at the hub, handling two warehouses and queuing for loading (1–2 hours).
- Take a 1‑hour unpaid break at discretion while complying with weekly driving regulations.
- Manage overtime and ensure a minimum of 60 hours worked per week.
Required profile
- Valid Class 1 licence suitable for double‑deck trailer operation.
- Willingness to work night shifts from 6:30 pm to the end of the route.
- Ability to meet the guaranteed 60 hours per week schedule.
What we offer
- Guaranteed 60 hours per week at £13.64 per hour (£818.40 weekly).
- Weekly bonus of £30.
- 21 days of annual leave plus bank holidays.
- Overtime paid at the standard hourly rate.
